Elite High Eave Greenhouse
The Elite High Eave greenhouse is a specialised structure designed to offer an additional 11 inches of growing height within the same width as the Craftsman greenhouse – at 6’3” wide. This enhancement provides various advantages for gardeners and plant enthusiasts. Firstly, the increased height allows for the cultivation of taller plants and crops, making it ideal for vertical gardening practices. With more vertical space available, gardeners can optimise their growing area and potentially increase their yield. Moreover, the higher door in the High Eave greenhouse facilitates easier access to the interior space, simplifying tasks such as watering, pruning, and harvesting. The improved accessibility can enhance the overall user experience and make gardening more convenient and enjoyable.
The extra space created by the higher eaves results in a more spacious working area within the greenhouse. This expanded area can accommodate practical accessories like hanging rails and grow hooks, providing options for organising plants and tools efficiently. The availability of a larger working space can contribute to a more organised and productive gardening environment.

Base:
The greenhouse features an aluminium integral base, which is part of the framework giving additional strength. Elite Greenhouses only supply bases made from aluminium, therefore removing the fear of rust, rot or warping.
The majority of greenhouses are constructed onto a solid foundation however if your greenhouse is being constructed onto soil or grass, persistent stepping on the door cill will cause damage as it will naturally follow the contour of the ground. A hard support, such as flags, must be fitted under the cill and Elite recommend using their soft soil support which allows the door(s) to run in the track.
Doors:
The High Eave is supplied with a low threshold single door, with a handle, lock and key.
Glass:
This greenhouse is supplied with 3mm horticultural glass as standard, with the option to upgrade to 4mm full-sheet toughened safety glass or 6mm polycarbonate. For homes with children or pets, we strongly recommend choosing toughened safety glass for added peace of mind.

Roof Vents & Louvres:
The High Eave is equipped with at least one manual roof vent, the number increases with the size of greenhouse:
- 4ft & 6ft long with one roof vent
- 8ft, 10ft & 12ft long with two roof vents
- 14ft & 16ft long with three roof vents
- 18ft & 20ft long with four roof vents
Automatic Ventilation:
Automatic roof vent openers can also be added to your order. The automated openers will ensure that your vents open and close automatically, depending on the temperature, keeping your plants ventilated appropriately.
Shelving/Staging:
Staging and shelving is available in aluminium, or any of the Elite powder-coated finishes. For the High Eave, the 5-slat is recommended for the staging, and the 2-slat for the eye-level shelf (these are provided as standard with the Package Deal).
Rainwater Collection:
The greenhouse is provided with integral gutters that collect rainwater from the roof, preventing runoff and allowing for efficient collection. To maximise the effectiveness of the integral gutters, we offer optional rainwater kits. The standard rainwater kit includes downpipes that connect directly to the integral gutters and collect rainwater into storage tanks or water butts. Also available is the ‘rainwater kit to one gutter‘ option, allowing users to funnel rainwater from two separate gutters into a single downpipe, ensuring that both sides of the greenhouse contribute to a centralised storage system/water butt. It is important to note that this system can only be used at the rear of a greenhouse.
Bar Capping:
Bar capping is optional. It provides a stronger hold for the glass against the frame, plus the rubber fin makes for a better water seal and is a way of hiding the clips, providing a neater finish on your greenhouse. Bar capping can not be used on horticultural glass.
Powder Coating:
Greenhouses are supplied in aluminium as standard. However, Elite have a varied range of powder-coated colours to choose from; “Mocha”, “Brown”, “Graphite”, “White”, “Olive”, “Green”, “Black”, “Berry”, “Stone”, “Linen”, “Willow” and “Navy”, at an additional cost. Cresting & Finials:
Cresting & Finials can be added to the Elite High Eave greenhouse and are used to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal. Cresting refers to ornamental ridge tiles or other decorative elements along the ridge of a roof, while finials are decorative ornaments typically found at the gable top. They can also serve as a deterrent against cats and birds. They are provided in aluminium as standard, or can be powder coated to match your greenhouse.
Guarantee:
Elite Greenhouses are provided with a 20 year guarantee. They guarantee that no aluminium part will rust or warp. The guarantee excludes glazing or weather damage.

Please note: Elite delivery vehicles are rigid curtain-sided lorries (approx. 15 tonnes gross weight, 8ft 2in wide, 11ft 2in high, and 30ft long). If there are any access restrictions to your property, please let us know in advance so suitable arrangements can be made.
Deliveries can be made without a signature if prior authorisation is given, allowing for a smooth and flexible delivery experience.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to deliver to the Scottish Highlands or locations requiring transport over water (e.g. islands) due to logistical challenges and significantly increased costs associated with transporting goods to these areas. We aim to keep delivery efficient and affordable for all customer and these regions currently fall outside our delivery network. However, if you’d like us to explore an alternative courier option, please contact us for a quotation, we have many customers who arrange their own courier to these areas.

The Elite High Eave is a favourite here at The Greenhouse Shop due to it’s size, yet very reasonable price. The high eaves give lots of vertical growing space and make the greenhouse feel very big, even on a smaller 6×4 or 6×6 footprint. The greenhouse is available in unlimited lengths. The lead times are also reasonable with this greenhouse, as little as 4-5 weeks for plain aluminium and 8-10 weeks for powder coated.
