Halls Greenhouses has been a cornerstone of British gardening since its founding in 1934, earning a reputation for reliability, innovation, and value. As the first manufacturer to mass-produce aluminium greenhouses for private customers, Halls played a pivotal role in shaping modern home gardening, making durable, low-maintenance, and weather-resistant greenhouse structures accessible to gardeners across the UK.
Over the decades, Halls has continued to evolve, combining traditional values with modern manufacturing techniques. The result is a comprehensive range of greenhouses that are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of gardeners at every stage of their journey, from first-time growers taking their initial steps into greenhouse gardening, to experienced enthusiasts looking for a dependable and practical growing space.
Halls greenhouses are known for their strength, longevity, and ease of use, offering features that enhance both performance and appearance. With a variety of sizes, styles, and glazing options available, the range is suitable for gardens large and small, allowing customers to extend their growing season, protect plants from unpredictable weather, and create a productive growing environment year-round.
By consistently focusing on quality construction, sensible design, and affordability, Halls remains one of the most respected and recognisable greenhouse brands in the UK, trusted by generations of gardeners to support their passion for growing.

Powder Coating:
Halls Greenhouses are renowned for their robust aluminium frames, which are both lightweight and rust-resistant. These frames are available in three finishes, from classic silver/aluminium to powder-coated green, or contemporary black, allowing gardeners to choose a style that complements their outdoor space.
Glazing Options:
Halls Greenhouses offer multiple options to cater to different needs – though some models are supplied with toughened safety glass as standard. Horticultural glass is the more traditional, cost-effective, being suitable for general gardening purposes. Toughened safety glass is stronger and safer, it shatters into small, blunt pieces upon impact, reducing injury risk. We recommend this option for customers with children and/or pets. Polycarbonate is also an option – being lightweight and provides excellent thermal insulation and diffuses light, reducing the need for shading.

Accessories & Customisation:
To enhance your gardening experience, Halls also provide a range of accessories, including automatic vent openers, louvre windows, staging, and shelving. These additions help create an optimal growing environment and make greenhouse gardening more enjoyable.
New for 2026:
The all new Halls Icon range launched in early 2026. This innovative range of greenhouses is set to transform expectations of what an entry-level greenhouse can offer. With improved strength, clever new features, and brighter, roomier interiors, the Icon delivers exceptional value without sacrificing quality or style.
This isn’t just a minor update to existing greenhouses, the Icon is a comprehensive redesign, packed with improvements that benefit everyday gardeners:
- New G-Spring Glazing Clips
A more secure and tidy glazing method, replacing the traditional wire clips. - Modular Folding Staging & Shelving
Can be moved out of the way when needed. - Strengthened Ridge Bar with T-Slot Channel
Provides additional strength to reduce flex. It reduces movement in the frame, supports optional decorative cresting, and discourages birds from settling on the ridge. - Enlarged Gutters and 40mm Downpipes
Better suited to heavy rainfall and ideal for anyone collecting rainwater. - Reworked Roof Angles
The steeper pitch from 34 degrees to 40.5 degrees for freestanding models, improves performance against wind and helps snow slide off more easily. - Raised Eaves Height
The Icon 6 and 8 now offer 1.4m eaves height, while the Planthouse has eaves height of 2.0m, creating an open, airy internal environment. - Low Threshold Doors
Designed with accessibility in mind, making it simple for wheelchair users, wheelbarrows, and trolleys to enter without obstruction. - Enhanced Sliding Doors
Taller, sturdier, and easier to adjust for long-term, smooth operation.
The Icon collection marks a new chapter for the well-established Halls brand. As the updated models roll out, several long-standing favourites – including the Halls Cotswold Birdlip, Cotswold Burford, Magnum, Atrium, and Garden Room – will be gradually retired. These outgoing models are still available for a limited time and can be purchased on our website at reduced prices while stocks last.
The refreshed range now features the Icon Planthouse alongside the Icon 6, Icon 8, and Icon Gardenhouse, ensuring there’s a model suited to every type of grower and every scale of project.
The Halls Icon series isn’t simply a revision of previous models, it’s a modern re-imagining of greenhouse design, created to meet the needs of today’s gardeners.
