Elite Compact Package Deal

The Elite Compact Package Deal is a comprehensive offering, which includes additional products such as shelving and staging, automatic ventilation and other related products. The centrepiece of the package deal is the Compact greenhouse itself – however, the packages also include everything necessary to start growing and work out cheaper than buying the products separately.

The Elite Compact is an innovative solution designed for gardeners with limited outdoor space. With a width of 4’3″ wide, this greenhouse is compact, yet offers a multitude of features typically found in larger models.  The narrow width allows it to fit into tight spaces such as small gardens, patios, or courtyards without compromising on functionality.

One of the primary advantages of the Compact greenhouse is its efficient use of space. Despite its small size, this greenhouse offers ample room for staging and shelves, ensuring that customers can fully utilise the space without feeling limited

Base:
The greenhouse features an aluminium integral base, which is part of the framework giving additional strength.  Elite Greenhouses only supply bases made from aluminium, therefore removing the fear of rust, rot or warping.

The majority of greenhouses are constructed onto a solid foundation however if your greenhouse is being constructed onto soil or grass, persistent stepping on the door cill will cause damage as it will naturally follow the contour of the ground. A hard support, such as flags, must be fitted under the cill and Elite recommend using their soft soil support which allows the door(s) to run in the track.

Doors:
The Compact is supplied with low threshold double doors, with a handle, lock and key.

Glass:

This greenhouse is supplied with 3mm horticultural glass as standard, with the option to upgrade to 4mm full-sheet toughened safety glass or 6mm polycarbonate.  For homes with children or pets, we strongly recommend choosing toughened safety glass for added peace of mind.

Roof Vents & Louvres:
The Elite Compact Package is equipped with at least one manual roof vent, and one 5-blade louvre.  The number of roof vents increase with the size of greenhouse:

• 4ft, 6ft & 8ft long with one roof vent, one 5-blade louvre
• 10ft & 12ft long with two roof vents, one 5-blade louvre
• 14ft & 16ft long with three roof vents, one 5-blade louvre
• 18ft & 20ft long with four roof vents, one 5-blade louvre

Automatic Ventilation:
With the Compact Package deal, one Elite automatic roof vent opener is included, as well as one Elite automatic louvre opener.  The automated openers will ensure that your vents open and close automatically, depending on the temperature, keeping your plants ventilated appropriately.  Additional automatic roof vent openers can also be added to your order.

Shelving/Staging:
One 3-slat diamond staging and one 2-slat diamond shelf is included with the package deal.  If you choose the greenhouse to be powder-coated, the shelving will be colour-matched to your greenhouse.

Rainwater Collection:
The greenhouse is provided with integral gutters that collect rainwater from the roof, preventing runoff and allowing for efficient collection.  A standard rainwater kit, which includes downpipes that connect directly to the integral gutters and collect rainwater into storage tanks or water butts is also included in the package deal.   Also available is the ‘rainwater kit to one gutter‘ option, allowing users to funnel rainwater from two separate gutters into a single downpipe, ensuring that both sides of the greenhouse contribute to a centralised storage system/water butt.   It is important to note that this system can only be used at the rear of a greenhouse.

Bar Capping:
Bar capping is optional.  It provides a stronger hold for the glass against the frame, plus the rubber fin makes for a better water seal and is a way of hiding the clips, providing a neater finish on your greenhouse.  Bar capping can not be used on horticultural glass.

Powder Coating:
Greenhouses are supplied in aluminium as standard.  However, Elite have a varied range of powder-coated colours to choose from; “Mocha”, “Brown”, “Graphite”, “White”, “Olive”, “Green”, “Black”, “Berry”, “Stone”, “Linen”, “Willow” and “Navy”, at an additional cost.  See the Powder Coating Tab for further information.

Cresting & Finials:
Cresting & Finials can be added to the Elite Compact greenhouse and are used to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal. Cresting refers to ornamental ridge tiles or other decorative elements along the ridge of a roof, while finials are decorative ornaments at the gable top.  They can also serve as a deterrent against cats and birds.  They are provided in aluminium as standard, or can be powder coated to match your greenhouse.

Grow Hooks:
Elite Grow Hooks are included with the package deal.  They serve as attachment points for lightweight supports used in plant development, such as tomato strings. Apart from tomato strings, the hooks can be used to support other lightweight structures or materials that aid in plant growth and maintenance.

Guarantee:
Elite Greenhouses are provided with a 20 year guarantee.  They guarantee that no aluminium part will rust or warp.  The guarantee excludes glazing or weather damage.
