Halls Popular Greenhouse
The Halls Popular Greenhouse is a well-regarded option for gardeners at all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned horticulturists. One of the standout aspects of the Halls Popular greenhouse is its excellent build quality. Constructed with durable materials, this greenhouse is designed to withstand various weather conditions while providing an optimal growing environment for plants. The frame comes in multiple finishes, including silver, powder-coated green, and black, allowing users to choose an aesthetic that best fits their garden or landscape.

Base:
The highly recommended optional galvanized strong steel base raises the greenhouse by 12cm and guarantees the door runs smoothly. It provides fast construction without the need to construct your own timber or brick base.
Doors:
The Halls Popular is supplied with a single sliding door.
Glass:
The greenhouse can be fitted with full sheet 3mm toughened safety glass, 3mm horticultural glass or 4mm twin wall polycarbonate. For homes with children or pets, we strongly recommend choosing toughened safety glass for added peace of mind.

Roof Vents & Louvres:
The Popular model is equipped with at least one manual roof vent, the number increases with the size of greenhouse:
- 4ft, 6ft & 8ft long with one roof vent
- 10ft long with two roof vents
Automatic Ventilation:
Automatic roof vent openers can also be added to your order. The automated openers will ensure that your vents open and close automatically, depending on the temperature, keeping your plants ventilated appropriately.
Shelving/Staging:
Free-standing staging is available in aluminium, green or black. For the Popular, the 1-tier or 2-tier staging is recommended.
Rainwater Collection:
The greenhouse is provided with integral gutters that collect rainwater from the roof, preventing runoff and allowing for efficient collection. To maximise the effectiveness of the integral gutters, we offer optional rainwater kits. The Popular rainwater kit includes downpipes that connect directly to the integral gutters and collect rainwater into storage tanks or water butts.
Powder Coating:
The greenhouse is supplied in aluminium as standard. However, we offer the option to choose either Black or Green colours to suit your taste. However, the 6×4 model is not available in Black. See the Powder Coating Tab for further information.
Glazing Capping:
Black glazing capping is now available for the Halls Popular with toughened glass or polycarbonate, giving a sophisticated finish with no clips or overlaps. Glazing capping is not suitable for horticultural glass.

Please note: If there are any access restrictions to your property, please let us know in advance so suitable arrangements can be made.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to deliver to the Scottish Highlands or locations requiring transport over water (e.g. islands) due to logistical challenges and significantly increased costs associated with transporting goods to these areas. We aim to keep delivery efficient and affordable for all customer and these regions currently fall outside our delivery network. However, if you’d like us to explore an alternative courier option, please contact us for a quotation, we have many customers who arrange their own courier to these areas.
Halls Popular Lead Times (For Guidance Only and Subject to Seasonal Variation):
Aluminium greenhouses – 2-4 weeks
Powder-coated greenhouses – 2-4 weeks.
We offer a greenhouse installation service in mainland England (excluding CA postcodes) and postcodes CF, LL, SY and NP in Wales. Installations in central London will incur a surcharge. The current lead time for installations is 4-8 weeks. A greenhouse base must be purchased for installation which will be installed on a completely level solid concrete or slabbed floor. The fee includes the installation of autovents, louvres, downpipes, connecting kits, water butts and cresting if purchased with the greenhouse. Other accessories are chargeable. Installations exclude Northern Ireland, Islands, Allotments and Scotland (though please feel free to contact us if this applies to you, and we can advise alternative recommended installers).

The Halls Popular is one of the original greenhouse models. Our first greenhouse was a Halls Popular and was 35 years old when we moved house, still as sturdy as the day it was built. The one downside is that the base creates a step into the greenhouse, which we’d advise to take care if you have mobility issues. That said, we love the Popular.
