The Mercia Woodsman 6×8 Apex Greenhouse. Hand-built in Britain using certified sustainable timber, this elegant structure combines classic design with practical features, perfect for year-round growing.
The greenhouse boasts premium 12mm shiplap cladding and sturdy 2″ x 2″ frame construction, ensuring excellent durability against the elements. The greenhouse is available in three glazed options; Styrene, Polycarbonate or Toughened Safety Glass.
The integrated roof vent helps maintain ideal growing conditions through effective air circulation. Traditional antique-style ironmongery is supplied as standard, alongside detailed instructions and manufacturer’s recommendations, to ensure a simple and stress free assembly process.
Manufactured here in the UK, using sustainably sourced and regulated timber, all of the Mercia buildings come with an Anti-rot guarantee, to ensure your garden building looks great and lasts the test of time, this building in particular comes with a conditional 10 year Anti-rot guarantee as well as a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty. Annual re-treatment is required to maintain your building and the Anti-rot guarantee.
Base:
No floor is supplied with the greenhouse to ensure water can drain easily after you have watered the produce. In order to have a long lasting building, you must ensure there is a level base ready for the building to sit on. This can be concrete, slabs, or a pressure treated wooden frame and must be no bigger than the size of the building. An additional option is to add the Premium Base, which offers extra thickness and durability.
Doors:
The Mercia Woodsman Greenhouse is supplied with one door which is around 3/4 glazed. The door can be added to any side of the greenhouse, depending on preference.
Glazing:
The greenhouse can be fitted with either 4mm polycarbonate, 2.8mm Styrene or 4mm toughened glass depending on your preference.
Height Extension:
Mercia offer the option to extend the height of the greenhouse by 10cm for added headroom, adding more vertical growing space. The increased height boosts air circulation for healthier plants while providing more space for taller crops, hanging baskets, and shelving. This upgrade maximises functionality and creates a more open, spacious environment, making your greenhouse an even better place to grow.

12mm Shiplap Tongue and Groove.
Roof Vents:
The Mercia Woodsman Greenhouse is equipped with one manual roof vent.
Treatment:
The building is Dip Treated as standard. Once your garden building has been installed it will need to be treated as soon as possible with paint, preserver, stain or oil. This will need to be repeated annually to prevent the timber from deteriorating and to waterproof it.
If you wish to upgrade to Pressure Treatment, this is available at an additional cost.
Painted Finish:
The Woodsman Greenhouse is also available with a ready-painted service with a range of appealing colours including: Castle Green, Clove, Dove, Driftwood, Lakeside and Olive Tree for an additional cost. The building will arrive fully painted and ready to use. This will also include a 1 litre pot of your chosen paint for future touch ups as well as a three-year paint guarantee.
Guarantee:
*The Mercia Woodsman Greenhouse is sold with a conditional 10 year anti-rot guarantee giving peace of mind for the future of the building. You must apply a preservative and waterproofing topcoat immediately after installation.
Installation:
If you require an installation service, please check the box and check out as normal. Once your order is complete, you will be contacted by the supplier to arrange delivery and installation, usually within 28 days.
What you can expect:
- Installers are fully trained, expert fitters and will remove packaging from site on completion.
- Building constructed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and standards.
